Through breathwork, movement, creative exploration, sound, and unhurried community, we’ll create space in the body — and gently reconnect with what’s been quiet or set aside.

• Reconnecting with your body and senses

• Remembering joy, play, and awe in simple ways

Sharon Black and Selena Bruni are co-creating this day as a space for women — a place where you can breathe, move, and return to yourself in simple, natural ways.

Together, we’ll guide and support you through a day of embodied experience, playful exploration, and grounded connection in community — with deep respect for your pace, your season, and your inner knowing.

What to Expect from WILD WISDOM

What to expect from the Breathwork Journey

This is a guided breathwork experience designed to open space within the body.

​

Sharon will lead you through a breath-led practice, supported by music, that invites both release and reconnection — creating room for more aliveness, sensation, and presence.

​

You’ll be guided with full permission to listen inward, following your own rhythm and allowing the body to respond in its own way.

​​

​​

What to expect from Movement + Play

You’ll be invited into guided movement and open exploration, supported by music and simple somatic invitations.

​

This is a space to move without needing to “get it right” — to follow impulse, soften out of structure, and reconnect with a more natural sense of play.

​

An opportunity to explore, notice, and experience the body in a lighter, more curious way.

​​

​

What to expect from Creative + Playful Moments

There will be space throughout the day for hands-on exploration and actively identifying where play and joy can re-emerge in daily life.

​

Moments to engage the senses, to create without outcome, and to reconnect with the small, often overlooked experiences that hold both joy and awe.

​

Nothing to perfect. Nothing to produce.

​​

Just space to notice, soften, and play in the simplest of ways.

​​

​

What to expect from Sound + Rest

Selena will guide you into a sound-based experience for grounding and integration.

​

A space to rest, receive, and stay connected to sensation — allowing sound to be something you notice and feel within the body.

 

An opportunity to settle, soften, and experience a sense of calm, presence, and quiet awe.

​​

​

What to expect from Connection + Community

Connection will be woven gently throughout the day.

​​

Moments to share, listen, and be in the company of other women — with space for laughter, authentic expression and emotional expansion, each held with intention and reverence for the journey.

​​​

​

Food

A nourishing lunch and snacks will be provided to support your day of rest and renewal.

​​​

How to join

Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the container intimate, supportive, and unhurried.

​​

Registration is limited to 12 women.

What to Bring:

You’ll want to come cozy and comfortable — and be prepared to unplug and fully settle in.​

Please bring:

  • Yoga mat

  • Pillow (for under knees or comfort)

  • Blanket(s)

  • Journal + pen

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable, layered clothing

  • Slippers or cozy socks

  • Sweater or shawl

Surrounded by nature, Island View Retreat & Wellness is conveniently located north of Belleville, south of Bancroft and east of Apsley. This space is the perfect lakefront setting to unplug, exhale, and return to yourself.

  • If your body is craving more spaciousness, you can expand your retreat experience with an optional overnight stay at Island View Retreat & Wellness.

  • +$150/person (shared) or +$200/person (solo) (per night)

  • Includes dinner + breakfast.

No. Everything is guided gently and can be adapted to your comfort level.

A journal & pen, water bottle, yoga mat, pillows, cozy blanket, comfortable, layered clothing, slippers or cozy socks, sweater or shawl, and anything that supports cozy ease and comfort.

Is lunch included?

Yes. The full-day retreat experience includes a nourishing lunch + snacks, with dietary needs accommodated if you let us know in advance by emailing Selena at islandviewcr@gmail.com.

Is this retreat ok if I’m tender or overwhelmed?
